Description
This course introduces students to the characteristics of exceptional learners and their education, emphasizing research supported interventions and instructional practices. The course explores the psychological, sociological, and medical aspects of disabilities and giftedness. The course also includes examination of historical, ethical and legal issues related to the education of students with exceptionalities. Critical pedagogy guides the instruction.
