Our department focuses on developing critical thinkers, with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for successful careers in public and private accounting, general business, entrepreneurship and governmental, and not-for-profit. We recognize how technology, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics, is reshaping the jobs of the future. We therefore strive to continually update our curriculum to meet licensure requirements, and the challenges students will face after graduation.

Beyond technical knowledge, we focus on enhancing student soft skills, including written and oral communication, and assist students in obtaining meaningful internships while in college. Students will develop top-tier analytical and problem-solving skills that will make them stand out to employers. Our dedicated faculty bring a wealth of relevant practical experience to the classroom and are committed to student success. We offer flexible paths within our major based on student career goals for professional licensure and general business.
