Description

The purpose of this course is to engage participants in mathematical experiences that will enable them to gain a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the mathematics they are teaching, particularly those underlying algebraic concepts and procedures. They will examine and share the higher-level ideas that underlie the concepts. There will be an emphasis on student misconceptions and how teachers can address them. This course will also focus on vertical planning and future mathematical studies.
