Description

This course will focus on the study of the institution of education, and on the structure, processes, and interaction patterns within it. It includes the subtle ways in which internal as well as wider social structural forces impinge upon or influence the pedagogy and the social processes in the classroom and in the school. Special attention is given to cultural diversity and alienation, poverty and inequality issues.
