Standards-Based Curriculum and Assessment in Teaching Foreign Language

An examination of current standards-based curriculum and assessment strategies and how they can be transformed into effective classroom practice. This class is corequisite with SEYS 570b - 574b so as to enrich the student teacher's understanding of curriculum and assessment issues within an actual classroom. Special topics include strategies for preparing students for Standardized Examinations, ways of integrating innovative curricula and technology in instruction, and assessment strategies for diverse student populations, including those with special needs.
