Methods of Teaching Science in Middle and High School

Students' pedagogical content knowledge in their specific subject areas is developed in this course. Research-based learning, instructional and assessment strategies, as well as the secondary school curriculum will be examined. The course also examines issues of language, literacy, and culture and how they impact the learning and teaching of the specific content. As well, emphasis is placed on the use of technology in instruction.
