Covers the basic principles, elements and concepts of design, implementation and utilization of bibliographic databases using a database management systems (DBMS) approach. Examines various data models and several database models for bibliographic data (i.e. records of information-bearing entities with necessary attributes of bibliographic data and subjectrepresentation). Administrative tasks in the bibliographic database management environment are also addressed.
