The approaches include: (1) Movements (neo-realism, new wave, etc.); (2) Genres; (3) Literature into films; (4) The cinema as a socio-cultural phenomenon; (5) Cinematic stylistics. Films will be shown in Italian. Students will be expected to produce substantial works of film analysis.
