Building Home-School Collaborations.

Elective course in the Family and Community Studies Specialty. Prepares early childhood teachers to establish and maintain positive collaborations with families and communities. Using family systems theory, students examine dynamics, ideas, roles, and relationships within families and communities, and consider different strategies for communicating effectively with parents and involving families in assessment and planning for individual children, including children with special needs.
