Elective course within the Mathematics Education Specialty. This course addresses key geometric concepts in the context of artistic creations, such as the work of M.C. Escher and the tiling patterns of various cultures. Concepts addressed include congruence, similarity, symmetry, and transformations. Other topics include coordinate geometry, tessellation of shapes, and the relationship between two- and three-dimensional shapes.
