Description

This course is a critical analysis of the relationship between schools and their communities and the confluence of diverse communities within schools. Societal concepts are applied to community concerns related to the schools, to school policies, and to social curriculum. Efforts to adapt the school to social and community needs are examined in light of this analysis. Through readings, course assignments, and field experiences students study a reflective decision-making model.
