Special Issues and Special Populations in Alcoholism/Substance Abuse.

Description

This course covers special issues in the treatment of substance abusers, such as spirituality, birth defects, aids, and dual diagnosis. Special populations are addressed: adolescents, women, mandated clients, and the homeless. Attention is also given to drug prevention, counselor wellness, and professional counselor ethics.
