Lab in Counseling Techniques

Taken concurrently with ECPCE 704, this course focuses on developing basic counseling skills with individuals. Emphasis is on creating the core conditions for facilitating the counseling relationship and process, practicing the appropriate application of counseling microskills, and coordinating intervention techniques with counselor intentions for therapeutic change. Role plays, video feedback and group discussions as well as other activities will be used.
