POST-MASTER’S PROGRAMS LEADING TO CERTIFICATE OF ADVANCED STUDY

For students who have completed their master’s degree and are looking for additional courses in elementary and early childhood education, the department offers 15-credit specialized programs that lead to a Certificate of Advanced Study in a specific field. The specific fields are: Early Childhood Education (Birth to Second Grade), Language Minority Education, Child Developmental Psychology, Science Education, Social Studies Education, Math Education, and Children’s Literature. The department also offers an 18-credit post-master’s program in Literacy Education, Birth–Grade 6. To be admitted to any of these post-master’s programs, the student must have earned a master’s degree and teacher certification. There is no GPA requirement.
