Student Teaching in World Languages

Minimum of 190-240 hr. of daily participation or its equivalent for 15 weeks at a secondary school. School-based teaching experiences are provided that prepare student teachers to effectively teach students at the secondary school levels. Under the guidance of a cooperating teacher and a college-based supervisor students are expected to teach a minimum of one class. Students must earn a minimum grade of B to be recommended for NYS initial certification. Students are required to attend a weekly seminar at the college.
