Description

This course is designed to give middle and high school teachers a nonmathematical background in meteorology, the science of the atmosphere, and its effects on the surface of the earth and on life in general. Topics include the history, structure, and dynamics of the atmosphere (physical meteorology); fronts and frontal weather, storms (dynamical meteorology), observational methods (observational meteorology); temporal changes in climate (climatology). Observational methods and data are used throughout to support the understanding and concepts important in meteorology
